Still collecting the Jewel of Power. You should now have all 12 jewels. Activate the Idol. It will help you in defeating the Giant Yeti. Defeat the smaller enemies, then after you destroy the big snow lair the Giant Yeti will appear.
Use the Idol's power to help you defeat him. Near where you are fighting the Giant Yeti, there is a guide stone that says "secret passage". Place the eye flag for your scouts inside the uncovered area behind the mountains, they will automatically take the secret passage. In the secret passage you will meet a man who tells you to come see him when you have all 7 coins.
You will see a spot that looks like there used to be a tower built. Build a tower at that location. It will reveal two offshore islands. On 1 of them there are gems. On the other, another spot that looks like it used to have a tower.
Just because you cannot walk there doesn't mean you still can't build it. Your workers won't reach there, but it will build. New building available - Market Place - Use this to research shoe making and comfortable dwelling. Because you cannot build, you can't use towers to see further into black areas. You need to take Guro and Akuru as far into the black as you can.
As you explore you will come across large ice formations, when you click on them they say "A piece of massive ice formation is missing". You need to find the missing pieces to destroy the ice formations. Find the alchemist. He wants you to prepare the twilight mixture.
You will find all the ingredients on the island. Guide stones will tell you what 2 ingredients you need to make a different ingredient. You will find a sphere to the top middle of the island on an offshore island. Click on it. It will take you to a spot with gems on it. Once you have found all 8 ingredients, go to the alchemists lab and place 2 ingredients there using the guide stones to help you know which 2 to mix. There is a chest surrounded by mountains.
You cannot reach this yet, you will have to come back after finding a certain item. You will find ice crystals as you explore. Start to collect these. Because there is a lot of ice around, they may be hard to spot so keep your eyes open.
To the left you will meet Montol. He wants you to hunt all the sharks swimming around the island. The sharks are in the water to the very left. There is an idol at the bottom left of the island. It requires 25 ice crystals to activate. You will need to break the ice block by building a fire tower near it. You will find the Pendant of Power on an offshore island that you are able to walk to on the right hand side in a chest along with gems. New building available - Shaman Tent - Shamans can control fire, ice and lightning you will gain different abilities for them as you receive new shaman masks.
You can now use shamans to melt ice instead of building fire towers. Build a shaman tent, then take them to the ice block near the top middle and they will melt it. After breaking the ice you find the world seal. You now must place totems on the correct pedestals. To the very top right corner there are gems behind some mountains. Take your scouts as close to them as you can to reveal them from the black. Once you have placed all the totems, click on the world seal to activate it make sure you have a big army before activating the seal.
Use the Idols powers to help you. The shades will start moving closer to your village. Have some towers built up to help defend you. And don't forget to re-charge the Idols. After defeating the enemy, send your troops back to the village to the two stone structures with the face. Just south of your village is a new building - the Training Ground.
Collect 3 swords from Enchanted Skeletons to obtain the building. Don't rush, obtaining the last sword requires good defenses first. On the west side of the island, build a Frost Tower to get past the fire wall to get to the Hall of Mysteries. The shaman there needs 3 pieces of a scroll to give you access to the building, and to give you new research abilities.
The 3 pieces of the scroll can be obtained by solving the 3 light puzzles located on the NE, SW, and SE corners of the island. The puzzles are in the shape of an X. For each puzzle, the correct number of blue lights must be lit up. For the SW puzzle, light the upper right corner only. For the SE puzzle, both bottom lights. For the NE corner, all except the upper left corner.
To find the last obsidian pieces, first find the 6 lava stones for the hermit on the south edge of the island. The lava stones will NOT be visible; check all of the lava pools to find them. After collecting all of the lava stones, the hermit will activate the Sphere of Clarity to find the last obsidian pieces. Do not go into the red sparkled area on the east side of the island until all of your defenses are up and your research is done.
Recommend placing towers all along northern edge of island as well before venturing into the sparkled area. Artifact - Blessed Ring. Upgrade the workshop, blacksmith, wiseman's house, sky tower, laboratory, Hall of Mysteries as much as you can. Take your scout flag to the clear crystal and when the scout gets there, click on the clear crystal. Swim back to the island with all the crystals and transport to the island with the yellow crystal.
You will need to send your scouts to one circle, your army to another circle, build a tower on another, and lastly, drag your hero over to the last circle. Once you have build up a huge army with a lot of towers, send your scouts to the gates in the top of the screen. Once you have defeated the Shade Prince on the first island, send your fighters through the black dots in the upper left of this island and fight the next Shade Prince. You need to have all nine of the vibrating to lower the floating island with the treasure chest to where it is reachable.
Once all the Shade Princes are gone and you have put the black orbs in the lanterns, take on the King Shade. Once the idols have charged, drag the power to the green crystal mountain and the blue crystal mountains.
Take one of the disks you have in inventory and place it on top of the disk on the crystal column. When charged, use their power on the large crystal mountains, blue, green, and orange, until the path is clear. If you want the globe 3C lit, you would click on 3C first, then all the other globes in this row and column. The sequence is three steps forward, move 1 step to the left, 1 step back, 1 step left, 1 step forward, 1 step left, 2 steps forward, 4 steps right, 1 step back, 1 step forward to the same square, 1 step right, 1 step forward, 1 step left, 1 step forward, 1 step left.

Already about 8 hours in, and I still have more islands to uncover, and some side quests left on islands that I can still go back and do.
For those who complained that in VV games there's nothing to do while you wait for your villagers to complete their tasks, Totem Tribe isn't like that at all! You're playing every minute, and the game does not keep going when it's turned off.
Also, don't expect a run-of-the-mill hidden object experience either. It's refreshing and different, and I highly recommend this game! Great game, I like the gameplay and the option to do side-quests. Although, I'm currently stuck at the islands with the crows, and I cannot find the 5th gear.
Could anyone help me? I want to play the rest of the game! Jenn - look amongst the heavy foliage, I think there was a gear in there that had me stumped for a while. The gears didn't stump me for as long as the roots did I think that's the next quest you'll come to. I am at the frozen Island where you have to use the towers with fire power to melt the ice and release the penguins. I can not figure out what to do with the fishing rod, line, hook, and bait. I have beat the level and I could move on but I would really like to figure this out!
I'm stuck on the beetle island.. I'm searching for some helps or walthrough on Internet, but I found nothing. Mist Island - I see the lightning gate at the top of the Island, but I cannot find the key to open it. Comet Crash Site - Two purple crystal challenges I cannot pass. The challenge with the white and black spheres that can be moved be switching places with the gold sphere.
I have not been able to open this crystal to destroy the token. The purple crystal challenge that is surrounded only by two crystal shards that can emit a purple light. What happens if you are unable to provide the 7 collected ancient coins in the original few islands? I am stuck at 5! I would love to get a hint as to where the last two are. Marge you will need to use them to fish in ripples of water.
Once you obtain the fish you will give it to the head of the penguin tribe. I found the best way to defeat the beetles was to place my warriors in the center of the beetle caves. It makes it harder for the king beetle to scurry away without getting hit. You also should work with the small flames surrounding the large fire on the palm island.
I would recommend defeating the beetles before focusing on the other two objectives on the island. This game is very addictive. I'm stuck at the 5 coins too. Hopefully someone will make a thorough walkthrough for this. I went back to previous islands to unlock other things that I am needing later and now I am at the Lonely Iceberg. I can't seem to get the other ingredients. I am left with 2 powders and 2 potions right now, I can't uncover all the black area of the land.
What am I missing? I have Salamander dust and magic salts or something. Then 2 potions, I have been at this same one over an hour! Ok I can't find the 5th piece for the machine either, Jay you said something about the trees, I think I found that one but what about the other ones? We believe that the locations for some of the objects may be random, or at least there are several different spots where they could be each time you play.
Lisa: I found a gear by one of the crows nests, only half showing. Most of the other ones were hidden behind trees, I think there were 2 of them in the thick forest by the workshop you need to repair. Jakob: the witches roots had me stumped for a while too. If you look around the island you will see guide stones that reveal the location of a few of the roots.
After you check those just look around very carefully, they are there but they are extremely hard to spot. Hiya, it's my first time here haha.. I find the game Totem Tribe to be quite entertaining, however I am stuck on the witches island trying to find the last frustrating root for the witch!! I can't find this root by any means.. I am starting to get a complex from this last blasted root, lol.
The last few for me had only slivers showing. AngelKatt: Like i said above the guide stones will tell you where a few are. Other than that I'd just have to say sweep over the whole island little by little. I found 2 roots not located in the swampy area so don't limit your search to that.
If just parts, you have one more to go. One of the stones tells you that fish bite where there are ripples on the water. When you see them, click once on your assembled fishing pole, then once on the ripples. You'll catch the fish automatically. This is where my last shell was, maybe it will help you? Oh, AngelKatt, I found one root by clicking on one of those green lily pad looking things.
I hope that helps! Often they put objects on islands out in the water, and the only way you can find them is if you clear the black fog. Keep looking, you'll find them. Hi, I hope that any one can help me. I am totally stuck. I am on the island with the iceblocks.
And I can't find the fifth piece of coal. I have looked everywhere I've gotten pretty far in the game currently battling beetles , but I stopped and went back for more coins. Currently, I'm on Witch Island and I don't understand how to get into the big chest in the middle of the rock circle. Do you have to melt the ice? Is it in the treasure chests? Click the stones in the right order, you know you have it right when they turn green. Trial and error works well, but I believe the first one was the NE corner stone.
I've gotten past the Shark Island, but I have found a new dilemma. Anyone know what to give the guy in the tower on mist island, or where to get it? I'm on the mist island and I've found and fixed two of lights. I've found the third broken light but can't find the bulb that goes into it. I've wandered all over the island but with all the mist it's hard to find anything.
I need help!! Looking for the fifth coin in the series counting from the left Could anyone with four coins tell me where they found the fourth one? I am on the last level of the game, the Comet Island. There is a big purple totem surrounded by purple spheres. How can I solve this riddle? I am stuck, please help. I've fixed two of the lights, and found the third broken one but can't find the bulb. There's a clue about finding something you can't see, but there's still a lot of clouds and black area. I've searched everywhere, help!! Move Aruku everywhere you possibly can, especially to all the edges of the path.
The goal in this level is to remove as much of the black fog as you can. Look for parts of the ground that look like it might be a path, and try to follow it if you can. There are a couple hidden passages that allow you to clear areas of black that will reveal a light. Good luck! Hi, I really love this game. But I am stuck now. Counting them left to right in a w pattern I am missing the 2nd and 6th. Hi, I finally found the last root on Witch Island, the sick are cured and the shade banished presumably to the next island, lol. But I can't figure out how to get past the ice mountain at the top right of the maps I am guessing you get to the chest through there.
It seems there's a lot of people stuck on this game. I haven't finished it yet, but have made it a tiny bit farther than some.
If you search the shore on the right side of the island if I remember correctly you will find three ripples in the water. If you use the pole on the ripples, it will give you a fish. Give the fish to the penguin hut. For this island, you have to make it to four different islands using three different colored travel shards Blue, Yellow, and Pink. The valves 2 in all are for the blue island. You also will need to get the energy ball for the center platform.
Once you achieve this, you can reach the chest on the same island. In the end, you will end up swimming unreachable islands. I don't want to give too much away, but hopefully that gives you a good start. Good luck people, and if anyone makes it to Dream Shore and defeats King Shade yet again, I could certainly use some pointers. However, there are 60 shells to find on Frozen Vale Island, and impossible to know which ones you're missing.
Keep looking, you'll find them! Many shells have only a very small area showing. When you have a shaman tent, you build shamans recruiting automaticilly , they have a fire spell- now you can attack ice wallls. Anyone else having difficulty finding 1 last blue shell on Shark Island? I swear I've clicked on every inch of land on that level, but can't find it. Hey, Im stuck at Mist Island. Ive found 5 pedestals for those light things, but only 4 of the light things themselves, ive also found the thunder symbol.
I searched in every corner and look-a-like paths but the last light thing isnt anywere! Can anybody tell me were to find the last one? So on the witch island I can't get past the ice how do I melt it?
Am I reading the posts correct that the last of the roots aren't on that side? I can't clear the fog out and couldn't find 3 roots so I figured they were on that side. From what I'm reading it seems like I need to come back to the island to get to the other side of the ice block? I somehow missed a pebble when fighting the crows on Gull Island. And when your scouts get the ability to swim on Shark Island, you will want to drown them.
You have to be quick on the explorer flag. That said, if you 'do' want to drown them.. My hubby laughed at me the way I was scolding those nincompoops for swimming with the sharks. Help out other players on the PC by adding a cheat or secret that you know! There are several hollow trees in the forest. Just click on their holes to find the white Gem of Power. Mine was in the one east of the locked chests. On the northeast side of the island is a hut. The hermit who lives there wants you to kill all the crows and return his 12 white pebbles that the crows stole from him. To kill flying targets, you need an archery range. To build an archery range you first need to get the workshop working.
He will give you your fifth machine part. Put the parts in the machine, then build your archery range. When you have all 12, return. Your first challenge is to build 10 huts, so start building them.
Also build a scout station, barracks, a workshop and an archery range. Start building towers around the perimeter of your village. In the southeast is a totem that needs 8 cactus flowers to activate.
Collect the flowers — some of them are north of the village — and put them on the idol. Click on the idol to charge it. In the southwest is a sliding block puzzle to open a chest. The empty space will be in the middle. You will be rewarded with the red Gem of Power. First you will be attacked from all directions over land. The next attack will be from the air.
You will now be able to upgrade your towers to arrow towers. You will get a few minutes to do so. The attack will come from all diagonals. The third and final attack will come both over land and through the air. If you struggled in any of the previous attack, quickly build more towers in your weak areas before the attack starts. All your people on Witch Island, except Aruku and Guro, are sick. You need to find a cure. Use your explore flag to explore the island with Aruku and Guro.
North of the village is a shack where a witch lives. She will help you to cure your people if you bring her 10 rare roots, which are scattered around the island.
But here are the locations anyway:. Once you have them all, give them to the witch and she will reward you with the witch doctor shack. Build one of those in your village and the witch doctors will start curing your people.
Your next objective is to destroy the source of the infection. Build up your village with a barracks, workshop and archery range, and set an attack flag on the tower. There is another Gem of Power here — the green one — in one of the green mud pools. Come back later when you know how to build fire towers, have shamans or have learned to swim.
In the south part of the new section is a chest with another Ancient Coin. To open the locked chest, click on the stones surrounding it until they all vibrate. You need to do this in a certain order, and if you make a mistake you need to start the order again.
The order is:. Explore the island until you reach the village. You will need 16 pieces. You also need to find the 4 pages of the recipe book that were carried away by the wind. Once you have all wood, put it on the fire pit in the center of the village and put your cooking pot on top of it.
The small shrubs on the west side of the island will now have sprouted different colored fruits. There are also brown and red mushrooms. The items will grow back after a while if you need more.
When you have all pages of the recipe book, click on the book and you will get most of a formula. As the pages were damaged by the water, you will have to make up the missing bits by trial and error.
Each time you make a mistake, you will have to start the recipe again from scratch. The correct order of ingredients is:. On this island, you will need to find 3 lairs of beasts and destroy them. You will start getting attacked almost straight away, but fortunately you have some fighters to start you off. Build an extra hut, a scout lodge, barracks, workshop, archery range and smithy.
Build a witch doctor shack if you like. Upgrade the armor and weapons in both the workshop and smithy. Protect your village with a few arrow towers.
When you have your basic set-up, place an attack flag on the enemy dwelling south of the village. The wise man asks you to find his lost building plans. The plans are inside the enemy tower straight south of the village.
If you build a tower on the ruined remains north of your village, you will be able to see a small island with an idol on it. Build a tower on the ruins southeast of the first enemy tower to find an island with a locked chest on it.
The chest needs 7 rusty keys to be opened and contains the fourth ancient coin. The first key is between the mountains directly south of the village. Once you have a second barracks and archery range, start exploring the northeast of the island and destroy the enemy dwellings there. You will come past the Idol of Peace, which needs 20 bones to be activated.
A second rusty key is just southeast of the Idol, a third is by the rocks south of the second enemy dwelling. The fourth key is inside the enemy hovel there. Have them attack and destroy it to find the second scarab. Regroup your army near the Idol of Peace and then go and attack the enemy dwelling in the southeast. The fifth key is by the mountains on your way south.
The last two keys are inside the enemy hovels in the southwest, as is the Totem of Lizard. There is also a chest there that needs 25 bones to open. Place your attack flag near the opening and fend off the attack. You will meet another shade and his minions.
Build a scout lodge and start exploring, collecting shells along the way. Those of you who played the original Totem Tribe will be pleased to hear that half of those nasty white shells have been replaced with much easier to see brown ones you sill have to find 30 white ones, though!
To the west you will find an Eskimo village. They will share their knowledge of fire with you if you bring them 8 pieces of coal. Six of them are scattered and one of them is in the fire pit by the fishing Eskimos in the south. Drop the coal anywhere inside the Eskimo village and you will get the gift of fire towers! North of the Eskimo village is a hut with a hermit who wants you to free his penguins from behind the ice. Build towers near each of the ice mounds, convert them to fire towers and watch the ice melt before your eyes one tower can reach quite a few mounds.
Explore the parts of the island behind the ice mounds. In the north is a locked chest that needs your 30 lovely white shells to open. It contains another Ancient Coin. In the far northeast is the Idol of Divination, which needs 25 brown shells to be activated. Make sure you also explore the center of the lake by the idol, as it contains one more brown shell. Activate the idol and charge it, then cast the spell of Clairvoyance in the sea to the right of the island to find the Totem of Polar Bear and finish the level.
You will have found several pieces of a fishing line on your travels on this island. The hook and line are easy to find. The bait is in the brown chest north of your base camp. The lure is on a small island in the southwest, which you can find with the Clairvoyance spell or by building a tower on the building remains.
The rod is the hardest to find, but is by the rock where the little Eskimo is fishing in the southwest. Give the fish you catch to the hermit and he will give you a map to the Lonely Iceberg. As you now know how to build fire towers, you can go back to Witch Island and explore the northeast part of the island.
Within seconds after arriving on the Lonely Iceberg the two big ice crystals north of you explode and unleash an attack on the new arrivals. Fight them off and then start exploring. First go off to the right and pick up the first ice shard, which is clearly visible on the beach. Then go left and make your way around the corner and back east until you reach the village. The alchemist there asks you to make him the Twilight Mixture.
To do this, explore the rest of the island, collect the ingredients and take note of the instructions on the guide stones. Move your attack flag north of the village until you reach a broken ice crystal. Put the shard you found on the crystal to break it and move past. Go off to the right to find the first chest containing vitriol and the second shard.
Move to the west, past the scout lodge — which is new in this version of the game — and fight off another attack. Just north of the lodge is another chest, which contains ammonium. Further west still is a chest, with permanganate, and another shard. Go back to the village and continue west until you reach another ice crystal.
Put your second shard on the crystal to move past. Fight of another attack and find the next shard and a chest containing aurum. Go south to find magnesium and go back to where you went past the second crystal. Melt the next crystal with the shard you found last and collect charcoal and alkali from the chests behind it.
Then go back to the scout lodge and melt the last crystal to the northeast of it with your last shard. Collect the quicksilver from the chest there and return to the village. If you make a mistake your items will return to your inventory. The recipe is as follows:. He will give you the building plans for the laboratory and the knowledge of ice towers.
There is one last thing you can do here now. Go back to the scout lodge and click on it again now. A scout will come out and tell you to get the Masking Cloak for them if you want them to help you look for the gems.
When you have the Masking Cloak found on Worship Island , the scouts will be able to avoid sharks and other enemies. Have your scouts explore the rest of the Lonely Iceberg for more gems. On a little island right by the lodge you will find a chest with a harpoon, which they can use to kill the sharks.
You can also use the harpoon to kill the white sharks to collect the shark teeth for your mission on Firefly Island. Note that the Masking Cloak does not protect you against the white sharks! You can now build guard towers! This is a great new addition to the game, and will protect your village with guardians even if your army is away fighting. Build a scout lodge, barracks, workshop, smithy and archery range, and upgrade your weapons and armor at both the workshop and smithy.
Build a couple of guard towers around the village. Then send your army to attach the slime lairs to the west and southwest. To the southeast is the Idol of War, which needs 12 pieces of amber to be activated. South of the village is a locked chest that needs to be surrounded by 4 lit fires to be opened.
To light the fires, you need to catch 4 wandering lights in the fairy forest. The chest contains the Bracelet of Hawk, which allows your building to train new troops faster.
Time to do some more building. Also expand your army with more barracks and archery ranges. Once the ice blocks have melted, kill the yetis and destroy the ice lairs on the other side. Build another fire tower near the next ice blocks you find. Prepare for a big boss battle right behind it. First kill the normal yetis and snow lairs, then deal with the giant yeti that appears from the big snow lair.
Use the Idol of War to give your army more strength just charge the idol and cast the spell on your army. Getting some witch doctors helps too. Before you leave, explore east of the giant yeti.
Put your explore flag in the black to the right of it and your scouts will find the way through. To the east there you will find a marketplace. Bring 7 ancient coins to the market place to get the building plans for it and the knowledge of comfortable dwellings and shoe making. Finally, the brown chest contains the map to the Rimy Isles.
All you can do right now is move your army with the attack flag, so start exploring that way, collecting the pine and fir cones on the way. Cross the bridge to the north and arrive at Walrus Village. The yetis have kidnapped some of their people and you need to find and release them. You get some bridge parts, with which you can fix the broken bridge near the place where you arrived. Cross the bridge and kill the yetis on the other side.
The purple yeti will drop a thawing potion. Inside the lair you will find an ice key. On the south side of the island you will find more bridge parts, an axe to fix the workshop and a locked chest that needs 8 fir cones. Fix the bridge on the north side of this island and cross it. Deal with the yetis and lairs and collect the thawing potions and ice key. Also collect the hammer to fix the smithy.

No more yetis to fight this time!
Release them by using an ice key on each of the towers surrounding them. Explore the desert. Click on them all and take note of the information on them.
On the north side of the desert you will find a locked gate that you need to open. To do this, first find the bone chest in the northwest and destroy it with your army.
Once destroyed, a bronze staff will have appeared by each of the guide stones. The image on each staff will relate to the god mentioned on the guide stone. The staff you found by the bone chest symbolizes Seth. Now go to the big temple in the middle of the desert.
If you click on the different parts of the temple, it will tell you which of the gods can be worshipped there. If you place a wrong staff, they will all return to where you found them. On the other side of the bridge you find 2 pillars that can contain 8 scarabs. You only have 3 right now, so come back later.
Once you have your 8 scarabs, place 4 scarabs in each of the two pillars in the north of the map. You need to put them in the hole at the bottom to get them all in.
You will notice that they change color. You can change the order of the colors by clicking on the arrows on either side of the pillars. The right arrow will move the whole row of scarabs one up, the left arrow will swap the bottom two scarabs around.
Rearrange the scarabs in each tower to match the colors of the runes on the temple south of you, but in reverse order. This means that for the right column they need to be red, yellow, green, blue, from bottom to top. For the left they need to be blue, green, red, yellow, from bottom to top. This opens a passage to a new place, which you can access from the world map. Once you have the rosaries from the Pyramid and the black and white Oil of Magi from the Oasis and Ghost Island, come back to the Great Desert for one more time the white Oil of Magi is on Blueberry Island in a chest on a tiny island to the south.
The black Oil of Magi is in a chest on Ghost Island. Look at the pattern of the beads on the rosary and pour the oil in the bowls by each obelisk according to that pattern. A pyramid in the east will light up. Click on it to get a piece of an amulet.
